I almost become one of the victim but thanks to your blogspot. I received the phone call from S.I studio and almost believe the caller story that i was the lucky one, it was free and no obligation so I make an appt. At first, I tried to google S.I studio but nothing came up so i tot it was safe.
It was then the 2nd call, he call back and ask me whether I want the spa voucher (Now they are expanding to spa section!!) and he mentioned that it was situated at hong kong street, so I google the street name together. and this is how i came across ur blog and this girl post in flowerpod. unfortunately, pressured by the hard-selling, she signed up the 4k package. I am disgusted by their hard-sell services and hidden marketing gimmicks..

hi, i received a call from this SI studio today 27 May 09. the person who called named Candy, talked alot on how well the studio is (she said they are the only invited photographer for Kallang Highway Lauching). i wonder how they got my contact number. Thanks for you blogs, if not i could be next victim. she forced me to make appointment on tomorrow, telling me that i MUST turn up or else, they will have difficulty to answer to their sponsor who provide them this free trial. she claimed that i am the lucky one, among all ppl in s'pore, they chose 65. out of all the selected candidates, there are only 3 have not responded, i am one of the 3. i guess this is how they trapped innocent consumers into their plans. thanks for your site, i wont attend the "appointment" tomorrow. :)

Hi even at now (Oct 09), they are still at it. still the same tactics, same bad attitude the moment the person over the phone (Alex) found me hard to persuade. So please please, do not take it. There're no free lunches in Singapore. Every "FOC" comes with a price.
Hi, thanks for this blog. i nearly become one of the victim too. yesterday 03 nov 2009, a girl from SI Studio, named Jess, called me and tell me all these 'free' consultation & photo shoots. Luckily i didn't make any appointment with them, and immediately i tried to google this and finally found their true color. i hope there is no more other victims who fall into their traps.
Snapz Image sucks. Bad service and attitute. It happened last nite. Same thing happend to e just like Sue. ..chose 100.. and 3 have not responded and i am one of them.Before i went, i confirm with them that is The lady consultant was rude when I wanted to consider.She spoke with full of sarcasm despite being in the service line.It doesn't matter to me if they do not entertain walk in, only EXCLUSIVE to their VIPs.
Not only that , she deleted the phototshoot taken and selected 2 ugliest shots of me. So people beware of Snapz Image. They have already moved to No 2 Havelock Rpad formally known as Apollo Centre (next to MOM Building. )
Hi hi all. Snapz Image is now SZ Studio!!! We just came back from this Snapz Image photoshoot. Same gimmicks but our experience was milder than some but still BAD! My wife got a call recently, same mrketing tactics, but secretive abt the company name...they mentioned SZ, that's all! Shopfront is now at basement of former Apollo Centre...looks dodgy. Inside are those contemporary setup with lots of Ah Bengs Ah Lians and one Ah-Kua! Crap makeup artistes and photographers! Image consultants are non-professionals...Ah-Beng more like it! Make up until my wife and children looked different. Mine was worse!! Look like those in the coffin. Done by the Ah-Kua makeup artiste... :( But fortunately we didn't suffer through their hard-sell tactics. We got our 2 free photo images on CDs and left after 2 hours as we told them up front we only had 2 hours to spare. In the end the Image Consultant no choice but can see that he looked less enthusiastic at the end when we indicated no interest.
I wonder how many people got into trouble by signing up with them or suffer from smelly makeup powders and bad image consultant. Anyway, if you longed for free makeup makeover shoot, you can just try but STAY FIRM and INSIST not to sign up.

I used to work in there for only a few days. They asked me to call to the customers and pursue them to come for a trial.There's no truth but only lies. How can I company teaching its workers to cheat the customer? Walao~~~~So I decided to leave such a company.At first,they said want to hire a Customer Service,but at the end,thats actually a telemarketing job!!
Now they're holding my work permit without cancel it.So how can I do?
Can I go and sue them for such an illegal act?

Sad to say, my girlfriend and i fall their traps last year around december. I am now currently pursuing a case with CASE to attempt to get back my payment. However i think it would be better if more people come out to complaint about these kind of hard sell tactics employed by these irresponsible studios.

I know this one. The ang mo who used to work there trying to sell me the package at 3K plus. When I refused, they gave me 2 shots without touch up and their attitude sucks. This ang mo opened Wax in the City Medi-Pedi in Tanjong Pagar. Heard just closed down.
Yes Yes .. i went there for free trial... they told me is worth Sgd 500+ package... with lousy costume for me to try on...
i not signed up in the end.. but have to suffer for their bad services and disgusting 'dog' face and sarcasm...

jus went today.hahathey con so many customer but this time I con them.i went to the China st shop for complementary photography around jan last year.tat time the image analyst was a very nice malay guy. Maybe I was also a malay so he feel bad about conning me la. no hard selling or marketing at all. he jus tell me if I know anybody interested in their services jus give them a call cause they don entertain walk in customer. After the photoshooot, he let me choose 2 photograph and let me off without even promoting the life time membership. ten few weeks ago, received a call again and i did not tell them that I have ever gone for their photoshoot before!(their records very jialat can call plp 2 times!) This time no more malay guy.(maybe he was sacked for being too honest) haha.Wen I came in treated very nice like a king. They even help me carry my bag along everywhere i go.this time they give me 2 chinese image analysis(can't remember the name) both of them ask me if I first time and I say yes I first time haha> like normal photoshoot and then bring me down to look aat my image and that's where everything goes wrong. their qn if given a choice which album u choose and all sorts of qns starting with if given a choice. So I ans them honestly la. Ten they bring one guy name gabriel he explain to me the lifetime membership fee everything and when i rejected, he claimed I am not being sincere and only wasting everyone time. He then thow the CD and acknowledgement slip and the table and left me and the image analysis saying if I walk off with the 2 free image, then I shd question myself if I am a sincere person. The image analysis then try to continue physo me about sigining up. I so pissed of I tell him I am going to go off and I don want the 2 free image. He then angrily say ok now u choose your image. I again say no need ten this time he say u better choose or u will get me into trouble. I jus choose 2 image get the CD and the image analyse keep giving me a black face and witht he black face he say he will show me the way out of the studio.(chasing me out la). An advise for everybody if wan to go for trial make sure U got a strong mind and heart. Cause they will be using yr mind and heart to sell away their life time membership.

I signed up their Snapz Lifestyle membership on 2/1/2011 for $4988, and also their facial package for $2400 on 3/2/2011. Worst is...so far I only went for the coporate shoot once, and facial 2 times only.
Anyone can advise if I will be able to claim back my $$$ thru small claims???

Hi, I was also one of the victim, just went to the small claim tribunal today but the respondent never turn up. I signed for 4188 last year Jun but so far only went once for the photoshoot.
